Are you eligible for the Motability scheme?

To join the Motability Car Scheme, you must be receiving either:

·        Higher Rate Mobility Component (HRMC) of the Disability Living Allowance (DLA) - currently £51.40 per week - or, 

·        War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement (WPMS) - currently £7.40per week.

Plus... with the Contract Hire package you do not need to drive. You can nominate up to two drivers who may be friends or relatives, (all nominated drivers must live within 5 miles of the customers home) and parents or carers can apply on behalf of a child aged three years and upwards.

Proposed drivers must not have any serious driving convictions, disqualifications, or endorsements within the last five years.

Nominated drivers aged under 21 will only be permitted where they live at the same address as the disabled person.  Any driver under 25 will be restricted to cars in ABI Insurance Group 16 or under which ahve a power output of 115bhp or less.

Please note: If you choose the Contract Hire scheme you must have at least 12 months' award length remaining.
